Left-wing anarchist guilty of terror offences
Discussion
Another dangerous little weirdo convicted of terror offences.
Left-wing anarchist guilty of terror offences after declaring he wanted to kill MPs
I wonder if it occurred to him that keeping video diaries probably wasn't the best idea.

TBH I'm not surprised there are more nutters like him. Annoying as they are, the JSO and XR protesters are the law abiding left-wingers. We already know people are willing to damage 4x4s in the name of green. It only takes someone who's a little bit more annoyed to take things to the next level. Mix that in with the cost of living and there are going to be people who are willing to do more than write to their MP or complain on Facebook.

Looking at him I struggle to take him seriously as a threat, but OTOH I'm very glad the gun laws aren't as lax as the US as he's prime candidate for a school shooting.
This I agree with. Doesn’t really matter what they look like or whether they are left or right wing or another extremist position, if they’re capable of danger then we should be wary. One hardly needs to mention the murders of Jo Cox (2016) or David Amess (2021) or the plot against my former MP Rosie Cooper to be reminded that people like Jacob Graham must not be allowed to damage our democracy.

The looks thing is interesting.
Everyone expects terrorists to be evil looking when in this case it's just a student with a teddy bear on his bed and some fking warped ideas and an internet connection.
It's the flip side of that poor sod in Bristol (iirc) who was hounded as a sex attacker because he looked a bit odd.Everyone expects terrorists to be evil looking when in this case it's just a student with a teddy bear on his bed and some fking warped ideas and an internet connection.
I wonder whether he'd have been found not guilty of the more serious offence if he was a skin head or had brown skin and a beard.

From Rishi Sunak and Jeremy Hunt being utterly incompetent self-serving muppets, damaging our democracy and society, to the negligent truck driver, to a texting mum driving their car badly, to corporates putting profit before safety.
I even found the electrician who worked on my new build house had used wagos against design and had ultimately risked “danger” of a fire in my lounge light fitting.
As dangers go this is laughable.
We’d all be in prison for our thoughts and the accumulated collection of ‘weapons’ in our homes.
This chap is guilty of being an utter muppet for posting videos thinking his goals would be achieved by doing what he “planned”… which suggests he was just doing it to get some pretend friends in his chosen echo chamber.

It's on the regional BBC news page.
It's too late in the evening to argue ... butWould someone with a tinge of Right or Tommy what's his name have only received regional coverage ??
making 138 videos ... Wanting to kill at least 50 people including MP's ....... Buried deep within regional news

It's solely to give the BBC the credibility of saying "we did post the story" when people at a later date ask why they didn't cover it. It looks to be a common tactic the BBC use when reporting on things that "should" be a UK headline but someone in the editorial staff thinks it would look "bad" for their side, with the obvious example being any reverse story of a "right wing nutter" being given full front page headlines.
I know that sounds very "anti-BBC" etc but I can only say what I see and if this had been made headline news I couldn't make this point could I.

As for people like this guy, I don't know. How many other people like him make the national news, does everyone convicted of terror related offences make the news?
