Time to scrap the House of "Lords" and replace it with an independently appointed second chamber. No party affiliations allowed. All bills from the commons to be presented on their merits and voted on accordingly.

No titles conferred, 10 year terms with a staggered re-appointment process.

Appointments of those with expertise from every aspect of work, culture, region, etc. Numbers capped at a workable number, seats to be lost if no attendance.

Existing peers retain their titles, but are to be ridiculed if they use them.

Too slow. It needs a total reform. All existing members removed without compensation. As the House of Lords will no longer exist the titles go as well.

A new second chamber with fixed term appointments and a limit to the number of them. I would think a second chamber of around 300 would be ample to have representation from the different parts of the UK and different occupations and industries etc.

No appointments by nomination of party leaders.

That’s basically what I said! hehe

I have no problem with the existing life peers keeping their titles. If they use them they will get mocked.

Plaid Cymru opposes the existence of the HoL. No hypocrisy there, then.

Come the revolution.

I dream of a day when they house of commons is full of people either randomly selected like jury service or independent of each other. No party system, No whips. Cabinet members selected by AI, that considers each person's qualifications and experience and selects 3 candidates who are the best people for the job, and then the mps vote for them.
PM is selected separately by the whole population 2 weeks after a General Election, and all 650 mps are on the ballot paper.
They are allowed to advertise via 1 page on a website. News papers and social media comment are not allowed in those 2 weeks.
Those 650.MPs get 5 years. Then they have to.move to a new second chamber. They get 5 years again. After that they are given an allowance to live on for 6 months whilst they look for a new job. They can not be re-elected for a minimum of 10 years.

To be on elected as an MP, you will have to pay a £500 admin fee, which will.pay for deep vetting. The unredacted report will then be open and publicly viewable for the next 10 years. You will have 1 pages on a Government Website to say what you are about, any statements that are not truthful will result in a criminal.conviction, so no bull stting. There will be a link to the security report. If that means that you are competing against 1000 other people, so be it.

Political parties will be banned.
