It was all over BBC and ITV national news earlier in the week........ but apart from that, no, absolutely no mention of it.

You mean TV News?
I've not seen anything on the BBC website, but TBF, I've spent less time looking atthe news last week or so.

Even when we were in the EU, euroland news was treated as 'world' or 'foreign'....

But everyone in the EU is happy and contented and its run like a paradise for everyone.

We were mad to leave and miss out on all this harmony.

hehe Given how long it's been going on i'm surprised it hadn't been mentioned on here before. Could do with more of their attitude in the UK today, far too many grifters getting away with murder at the moment. A few estates/mansions burnt to the ground might focus some minds.

It's not just EU. "Net Zero" is a UN thing. US "Climate czar" John Kerry has just been in Davos advocating collapsing the farming industry to save the planet. EU policies seem designed to bankrupt farmers. Our farmers face similar. Government subsidies are reducing to zero and they are told to "diversify". Then refused any planning permission.

There is either gross incompetence or a wider deeper conspiracy going on, i cannot decide which one.

Watching who buys all the land at bankruptcy sale prices may help you decide.

Macron has made promises. It won't help the Dutch or Irish farmers facing the controlled demolition of their industry.

Or us, if you like eating real food.

It's more of a cult really, convinced of its righteousness and how it will save us all. Not just an EU problem either, we are signed up to the same stuff so soon our farmers will be dealing with the same thing.

Any evidence that he wants to collapse the farming industry?
EU policies have traditionally been very supportive of farmers, our farmers are suffering because brexit removed those subsidies and they haven’t been replaced by a national subsidy.

To be fair, British farmers would be running similar blockades, they're just waiting to get their Land Rovers back from repairs smile

Lots of comments that politicians do not have a clue regarding how the farming industry works. Guess they sit around a polished table quaffing fine wine, paid for by tax payers, and end the day with a list of unworkable rules and regulations. No wonder workin* people are pissed off with EU zealots.

Nothing to do with "saving the planet". As with energy, food was "too cheap" and so will be made more expensive while the suppliers are restricted as much as possible to the wealthy and politically well connected.

There are a number of necessities of life, shelter, food and warmth and those who control them will reap the rewards.
