Racist, reasonable or ridiculous

Basically, bloke plays a piano in a public space (not sure if thats true as it looks like a mall or something) and some Chinese people advise he cannot film them, and it gets a little heated.

Was he reasonable, racist or the whole thing ridiculous?

Interested also on how people feel the police handled it
