Any chance of you explaining why, which you were strangely reluctant to do on the actual Kemi Badenoch thread, which this one is obviously nothing like at all?

Maybe talk about all her achievements and the things she's changed for the better. Just pick a couple if you don't have time to do the full list.

It is rather terrifying that I can't think of any politicians I'd single out as having had a good year!!

Yes. I clicked on looking for some positivity but hard to think of anyone as you say.

Donald T.

That’s Tusk, not Trump. wink

He took on right-wing, reactionary populism in Poland and defeated it. His government is now restoring abortion rights for Polish women, re-establishing the rule of law and re-asserting Poland’s place in the European mainstream. Keir Starmer will be watching carefully, and hopefully learning from him.

That's a bold statement in PH and it's anti EU cohort.

I don't disagree though. Hopefully pulling Poland away from the the approach of Hungary.

I don't think people realise how fragile the peace is and separating Europe was a really bad idea particularly with the USA busy navel gazing.

I had a good chat with John Healey on a recent flight. There are many decent MPs across the parties like him. It's a pity the good politicians are held in such contempt by people with completely unfounded opinions.
