Like how Labour chose the wrong Miliband, the Tories have bet on the wrong horse. Figured best to get in early. Only a matter of time till Kemi is the rightful leader of the party.

When you're in a hole stop digging. I can't see how Kemi would resolve things. She'd appeal to people who already want to vote Tory and not to any who don't.

They need to get rid of the mediocre psycho dunderheads they've spent the last few years inflating and get some actual human beings in.

Could be in for a wait.

That's 3 wrong horses from this armchair. How about an actual conservative rather than loons or careerist blow-ins?

If I can do anything in my power to see her fail to get reelected in her current constituency I will.

If she had to stick a pin in a map and find Uttlesford I'm sure she'd struggle - all she cares about is advancing her political career and her life living in West London - working for her actual constituents not so much.

I despise her

I voted Conservative at one time: she doesn't appeal to me one bit.

That said, neither does Sir Keir Starmer. I was starting to become less averse to him but his promise of VAT on schools has completely put me off. It feels very 'Old Labour' - more Corbyn than Blair.

I for one would love to see Kemi as Tory Leader. She’d bring back the glory days of Truss/Kwasi.

The conservatives have had 13 years to build a better Britain, if you think that changing the head of the party is going to reverse that within 13 months then you need to give your head a wobble.

It's the tory party MPs that are the problem and the direction they have taken the party/country. Sticking a new head on them wont make them anymore appealing and in Kemi's case will just make them look like more of the same.

I don’t think a single person can resurrect the Tory party.

Conservatives need to get back to basics and be conservative.
Tackle illegal immigration, tax, inflation and not be afraid of alienating some demographics.

The UK needs a serious kick up the arse to combat its apathy and unwillingness to move forward.

I like her a lot, and I think she could appeal to a wide range of people.

But someone (on here I think) suggested she might be a bit naive when it comes to political in-fighting.

Drives me nuts that the Hancocks of this world prosper while the David Gaukes end up on the sidelines.

No. The tory party wouldn't 'voom' if I put 4000 volts through it.
