No prizes for knowing what they were really doing at Glastonbury.

It is terrible but they are probably being greeted with a pat on the back by other gang members when they get to their chosen new hotel.

What has this got to do with "Speed, Plod & the Law"?

Fairly certain murder is against the law and would involve the plod. As for speed, not sure, but by the look of the defendants they've probably sold it before.

Truly shocking murder and betrays just how seedy the underbelly of society is

The victims own partner, the intended target, completely refused to cooperate with Police throughout and actively hindered the investigation into his partner’s death

A truly horrid and despicable creature beneath contempt

May the poor girl RIP

Terrible, but... she must have known what her bf's line of business was, and enjoyed the illicit spoils of his vile trade profiting from others' miserable addictions. There are even apparently pictures of her socialising with the actual assassins, taken when they were all presumably a bit more friendly towards each other. None of which justify her death, of course, but if you lie with dogs you will get fleas.
You can only hope that the publicity around this story stops one more girl lying down with said dogs.

Her mum and step dad seem to be ‘normal’ people that were very unhappy with her choice of boyfriend due to his life. So it would seem she had good influences and I assume lots of warnings. I can only assume that in some circles this whole gangland / drug dealing life is so common / normalized that some people just don’t see it for the utter scum it is… do they see it as a game? Or as being like reality TV ?

It seems unimaginable to the vast majority, and completely normal for a significant minority.

As a southerner who has enjoyed my times in Liverpool (two former long-term girlfriends lived and worked there, I regularly visited at weekends over a period of 8yrs in the early 2000s) it seems from the media that the place is now full of gangsters dealing drugs, toting automatic weapons and not being afraid to use them.

Elle Edwards was similarly murdered in the Lighthouse Inn in Wallasey Village on 24 December 2022 , also using a Scorpion submachine gun.

(Yes, I know it's the Wirral and not 'Liverpool' per se but to the rest of us it is all pretty much "Merseyside")

Is it really that bad up there these days?

The Met on BBC had a episode covering the death of an "innocent" bystander by a Brixton Gang.

Reality was to paint a picture of innocence here, he was stabbed driving a motor bike alongside a bloke standing in a driven Lamborghini in formation with other bikes.....you telling me he wasn't being pulled into the lifestyle and probably of a similar version of what this young lady got dragged into.

Are we seeing the initial casual drug takers getting deeper and deeper into it where they are nothing more than a slave through reliance on drugs and being half useful to the scum they've jailed here?

It's rather obvious this happens in Eastern Europe with human trafficking etc.

Limited sympathy for a gangsters moll tbh, it's the main downside of living that sort of lifestyle.

The police released an interesting behind the scenes video

I actually completely agree… and maybe I chose the wrong word in normalized. The lifestyle / excitement is a big pull factor. And decency and understanding of what is really happening should be a huge deterrent (plus the potential personal consequences). That’s why I pointed out the good influences she had around her. She can’t have been ignorant to what was happening.

You might be right about her having good influences, but the pictures shown of her and her mum make them look a bit weird with their various cosmetic procedures and plasticky faces. I know you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but so many women who seem to be in the news for getting into some kind of trouble have the same type of look.

It's also a sad reality that some women are drawn to thugs and gangsters, and enjoy the money and power that comes from it.

Livestream of the sentencing, excessive sentences imo considering what other murders get away with.

Four dangerous men taken off the streets unable to harm anyone else after murdering someone with a machine pistol. Sentence is proper and correct in my opinion.

Appropriate sentences.

It's the ones you're comparing them with which are too lenient.
