Avoid this bit and you avoid all these other issues.

Testament to what a good deal between an employer and a trade union can deliver? hehe

Testament to how the average person trying to get by can be rinsed by state sponsored enforcement maybe. It's not exactly a competitive marketplace.

I'm glad you realise that. So sit calmly, and type it is slowly and carefully, so that what you're attempting to say makes sense.

Get away from the major cities and larger towns, suddenly these things start becoming a non-event.

Live in quiet, rural communities where you're on oil out in the sticks, suddenly parking wardens, resident parking permits, ULEZ etc. are all a non event. Roads pricing if and when that comes along will be a thing, but it'll take years and years for the rural, single track country lanes to be properly covered. Not anytime soon that I'm thinking about it, at least.

They’re all a non event anyway!

Ulez will be history soon as those in the zone will have replaced their dirty old cars. Nobody will be paying £12.50, or whatever the other cities charge, on a regular basis.
Park properly, you won’t get a ticket. It’s not difficult.
Parking permits, if you buy a house in a city, you knew that comes with it.

Decent payrise for the wardens, must be hard dealing with idiots all day!

What do you think will happen once all are in compliant cars? They’re not going to scrap all the cameras etc. that they have put in, they will no doubt use them for road pricing. So ALL vehicles will be charged £x per day.

Yup.

The two things most people cannot stand; traffic wardens and illegally parked cars.

I’m not entirely sure what the opening post has to do with traffic wardens getting a decent payrise.

Great idea. One could surmise that once we are at full EV, then it is an easy way to migrate from RLF to pay as you drive.
