I'm surprised something like this hasn't happened sooner.

Whilst I agree 100% with that, could this be one of those flip reverse cases and gets the Youtuber a little more publicity for free now? as in how do we know the shooting wasn't staged?

and again to Glassmans comment I noticed a Peado chaser has been shot and killed, the type of one that pretends to be a kid on the internet, talks dirty etc, to lure someone to a meet, then expose them, only this time, the guy encountered someone who had a gun and shot him there and then, just a bit more 'fatally'.

I'm not sure if it was for youtube etc. but some genius decided to 'prank' someone by scaring them with a meat cleaver. The 'prankee' shot and killed him.

I've no idea why so many people do idiotic stuff like this in the USA of all places.

There are some pranksters (like that cretin who thought walking in to random houses was funny) who have dodged a bullet (metaphorically speaking) for far too long. Even the ones that go a bit wrong as it were are 'liked' and 'shared' by their audiences.

6'4" habitual bully acts threateningly, gets his comeuppance. It's a shame these pranksters bullies don't get such effective life lessons more regularly really...

There's two of them. The shooter/victim of the "prank" is much smaller than the oaf with the phone. He told them to stop. He tried to go about his business. They persisted. It's America. Results were entirely predictable.

Its a bit depressing that the driver thought lethal force was the way to go, get a bit of stick of someone so you try to kill them ?

Sure, he looks intensely annoying but I wouldn't say that's grounds to shoot him, it seems so blasé just pulling the gun out and pulling the trigger.

His life wasnt in any actual danger, it was some stupid kid playing a voice recording on a phone, a bit aggressive and intimidating but it was in a public place, its so fked up, what happened to maybe giving him a punch first, everything in the US is about speed, comfort and convenience, even down to dealing with an annoying kid. Does seem some people are just dying to shoot someone with scant justification, I think if guns were freely available over here we would be as bad or worse.

Amazing how many on the YT comments think its a perfectly reasonable reaction, saw a video the other day where apparently a cyclist coming two feet out of the cycle lanes is grounds to run them over with a massive RV on purpose.

That's America for you!

Shoot first and ask questions later. Delivery man must have had a good lawyer because from the video his life did not look in danger at any point and he didn't exercise the option of walking off.

This also happened 6 months ago and only now people talk about it.

He slapped the phone away from his face I would say that's where you know he felt threatened. Judge seems to agree final charge is forcing gun in public place is being petitioned for dismissal.

I agree shooting seems ott. But your 5'7 a 6'4 guy tires to out something in your fave you move away he follows you ask 3 times stop you push it away he keeps coming....I still think shooting was ott but in the USA I can see how it happend

I'm not sure how tall you are jacko, but I think you have massively over-simplified "maybe giving him a punch".

I'm pretty close to 5-7, and have avoided fights in my life so far partly due to my calm and even disposition, and partly because I know I stand no fking chance against anyone who isn't a dwarf (and a wimpy dwarf at that, because some dwarfs look pretty damn mean).

A small percent of short people might have tried to overcome this natural disadvantage by honing martial arts skills, but the average "short" guy Vs an average "tall" guy is going to be a wipe out, based on things like mass, leverage and reach.

This particular short guy has one advantage, which is the surprise of his concealed gun. As he genuinely believed he felt threatened (correctly or not) it would be a grave tactical mistake for him to not use this advantage and instead start an uneven punching match.

So at the risk of labouring the point, a 5-7 guy trying to even land a punch on the face of a 6-4 guy is already going to be at pretty much full reach, will have to get up close to the opponent, with no real swing behind the punch and leave themself totally open to anything.

Whereas a 6-4 guy landing a punch on a 5-7 guy can be done easily, with huge swing/leverage behind it and keeping pretty much out of danger.

I have no martial arts experience - this is just common sense imo. In my experience, short people are just better at tolerating whatever stupid crap that average and above average height people inflict on us.

Maybe, maybe not. USA society is totally different to the UK. "Scant justification" in the UK can't be used as a yardstick for this.

Given the societal norms that exist over there and the legislation around gun ownership, I can see why many USA people are "meh" about this.

Gun ownership in the UK might change the UK's behaviour over time, but it would also need the mindset to change (not that I want this change, of course).

For example, Swiss and Finnish chaps have good access to guns, yet have none of the mass killings the USA has etc.

Finally, given the court has agreed his use of a gun was justified, it seems somewhat churlish to then prosecute hom for using it indoors.

Does the second amendment say a well armed militia can't respond to threats if inside? If you've gone to the bother of buying and concealing a gun against threats, it seems illogical that you can only use lethal force as a response outdoors, but not indoors....given the "threat" won't really care where you are.

Yeah, does make sense Ian, it’s easy to just see things from your own point of view and it did register that there was a massive size difference.

I am 6ft and about 210 pounds, I go to the gym and am no martial arts expert but have been physical in the past if I had to be, I avoid it but I think folk give off vibes via body language and demeanour.

I would have thought that producing the gun would have been the next stage before potentially killing someone but it is the case that in the states it is always a possibility that someone will be armed. That driver deserves to be left alone but I do think shooting is total overkill.

If it stops the annoying hassling anyone else though, and he didn’t die it’s the best outcome.

I don't think any one disagrees it was OTT however it happened because of the other person's actions. Actions which you can assume from his 50k followers were.designed to make him money.

So agree OTT bur also feel if you go out of your way to be annoying sooner or later your going to get into something you can't handle.
