Twitter posters are reporting that Sunday Times are dropping a big story, and Channel 4 Dispatches have got a 3 pm slot tomorrow, suggesting they also have something significant to say.

Given the recent scandal and outrage coming from UK gov, GB News presenters, and ex PMs that barely raise Mainstream Media eyebrows any more, I'm hard pushed to think what this could actually be about.

I'm desperately hoping this is the end of the super injunction and we find out who Johnson's HOL appointments really are, that brings down the whole government, but I suspect it may just be the outing of one of this year's Strictly contestants.

Mod edit to add (Russell Brand) to thread title

Unconfirmed (rumour and chit chat, basically) that it's a MeToo exposé of a comedian. Probably something entirely different.

Is it not a 9pm slot for Dispatches?

You've got reports that the Times has cancelled lots of leave and there's a massive amount of security in place around this story and then you have Krishnan Guru-Murthy tweeting about Despatches and then deleting the tweet.

Seems a bit odd over a story about some comedians.

Photo of Elvis riding Shergar being led by Lord Lucan?.

These days I’m saturated by the scandals perpetuating the MSM. If I didn’t know better I’d say it was a conspiracy.

Best bit of advice I’ve ever had was from this forum, and props , thanks and a virtual single malt of the best available to whomever said it.

Wouldn’t be that, what with it being an ongoing criminal case

From twitter

"‘mass expose of an obscene amount of high profile comedians’

There isn’t a case, it’s an investigation, and charges will be brought once the investigation concludes, which is what we are all waiting for (with fingers crossed smile), but it won’t be happening this close to the upcoming Rutherglen by-election.

The papers are "published" 10pm the previous evening.

I was at a Russell Howard gig last weekend and he mentioned previous incidents and said outright that "there was more to come", although nothing more definitive. I just hope the victims and the families of the perpertrator(s) of what ever is revealed are better supported than most collateral damage of these big stories.

If charges were brought it would be a case, and the Sunday Times and C4 wouldn’t be revealing a major investigation

So have C4 News and Sunday Times been collaborating on a story.... that's a weird team up if so.

I think you misunderstood my post; I said it wasn’t a case only an investigation. You responded to a previous poster who suggested the big story could be a charging decision; when charges are brought it will be a major news story, but the media will simply report the fact that individual(s) have been charged, and clearly not anything else that could prejudice any future trial.

I agree. To be honest, I don't give a flying fxxx about any of it anymore. I'm non longer disappointed in the behaviour of our politicians, tv personalities, sportspeople etc. They can all FRO as far as I'm concerned. MSM needs a radical change, to stop clickbait articles and to stop pandering to the lowest common denominator and regurgitating some made up crap from Facebook.
And don't get me started on social media "influencers" banghead
