BBC: Taunton man uses vintage military truck to demolish road-block

Video from reddit (includes NSFW language)

As the video says, not something you see in Taunton every day. That being said, the road signs do seem to indicate that he had priority over on-coming traffic, but I don't think he was acting strictly in the spirit of the Highway Code.

Love the way he carefully squeezes past the last police vehicle to avoid damaging it!

Well he is being investigated for attempted murder so he might be getting plenty. How do you prove intent though? Judging from the video the officers were standing well back avoiding any rash heroics, and he drove into empty police cars.

Of course he may have driven at an officer out of sight of the camera which would explain it.

See hidetheelephants' post.
Strictly it's an M35, which is the postwar replacement of the Deuce and a Half.

There's no way to know for sure, whilst driving like that, if the police cars were empty. If anything you'd assume they would be occupied ready to take pursuit.
