Lifted 50% more than the second placed female.
Think about that.

I want to comment on this, because I disagree with born-males competing against cis women, but nothing I write is right and I just sound like I'm massively anti-trans... which I'm not.
I want to be as inclusive as possible, but struggle to give my head a wobble and accept this as 'ok'

Women's issues. Why didn't the actual women say or do something at the time. I doubt they'd run the competition if it was just one trans woman competing.
Can't just moan about it after the fact when you've lost.
My sympathy for this lunacy is waning.
The article says that some women quit the competition because they knew the eventual winner would be competing. What is "this lunacy" that you are losing sympathy for? Women's issues. ^ that. The women can end this quickly enough by refusing to compete with biological men.Women's issues. Why didn't the actual women say or do something at the time. I doubt they'd run the competition if it was just one trans woman competing.

The way to stop cheating men entering women's competitions and cheating is to say that men are not allowed to enter women's competitions. Or, as it used to be known, applying common sense.

I think you are in the majority. There are plenty of sporting bodies now preventing post pubescent trans women competing in top level womens sports. Once a male goes through purity they have musculoskeletal advantages in many sports, even if male hormones are in check. A trans women is likely to have a huge advantage in powerlifting over a female.I want to be as inclusive as possible, but struggle to give my head a wobble and accept this as 'ok'
People are so scared these days to say anything, even if its common sense and supported by the majority. God forbid someone might get offended, even if everyone thinks it's madness.
Should get my OH to post as she's involved in high level sport, but she thinks PH is just as bad as Mumsnet

Many women say something but they’re then labelled as bigots and TERFs and transphobic.Women's issues. Why didn't the actual women say or do something at the time. I doubt they'd run the competition if it was just one trans woman competing.

I don't know if there's prize money involved in the linked article, could be quite a lucrative living for some transwomen.
