I rarely start threads, particularly in NP&E but quite a surprising headline this morning (yes, yes, I know the thread will turn into a dumpster fire by around post 10).

Wonder how much is a money-grab vs genuine.

That genuinely sounds like a headline from the Daily Mail Headline Generator website.

Some other outlets are saying there are claims involving Amsterdam venues and bananas

Being sexually harassed by a female doesn’t sound all that bad and I have been with a few munters but I would not like to be sexually harassed by her!

I would suggest that most backing dancers are required to keep in shape and their dancing may be a bit sexually provocative, so I would lean toward the former.

This is the best thing that comes from this thread.

HOLIER-THAN-THOU KILLJOYS ARE ABUSING THE MONARCHY

That being said, she's a champion of 'woke' values so it's no surprise to find out she's a complete and utter hypocrite just like the rest of them.

Not the first headline generator site.
The Guardian showed themselves to be particularly fragile when they found out about theirs

There’s always one.

Type her name into Google. You’ll see. She’s a huge (in both senses of the word) star.

I know it’s cool on pistonheads to pretend you don’t know who people are but it’s like saying you’ve never heard of Ed Sheeran or something. Most people that have radios or read any type of media have heard of these people whether they like them or not.

A rather ironic statement given who the front person is.

ED pops up like that occasionally, my favourite was when they called custard a year or so back, a hefty dollop was served (av I think?) and they didn't take it well.

Anyway…

I expect the Lizzo thing will bubble on for a couple of weeks, a settlement or 5 will be made. Will be interesting to see how vocal/preachy she is going forward…

And many singers are geriatric these days. Backing dancers though tend to be young, and in good shape, and not a job for those with a fondness for pies.

I think that's a bit unfair. I don't listen to commercial radio at all, and although I know who Ed Sheeran is, I couldn't tell you one of his songs. So, a bit unfair to suggest people 'pretend' not to know who someone is. Some of us are a bit auld and doddery you know. Why would, say, a 55 year old with no interest in music know who this person, or any other contemporary singer is? But yes, I do take your point that Google us our mutual friend in these situations. It was certainly my first port of call.

Seeing a snippet of her Glastonbury performance I’d say the dancers didn't fit the usual norm and were more of a mix, which makes the accusation slightly odd. The strip club/banana stuff is waaaaay out there though!

Shouldn’t that be ‘Music was better back in my day’? ;-)

Anyway it wasn’t it was just different, not sure when your day was but Id bet there was some rubbish music back then.

Lizzo’s music is not my cup of tea but she is a good performer.

As for the allegations, they are allegations at this point so we should be careful of presuming she’s guilty found so, or not.

I had to Google to see who she was too. Despite having teenager kids, I am hopelessly out of date - and switch off to most media. PH gives me more info than most news/ media sources.....

Has she ever been on Radio 2?
