Details a bit thin at the moment, but I think it was only a matter of time as the misuse of this type of bike is endemic.

What type of bike?
Article states:

"The force said it was looking for a blue and black road bike, but was yet to determine the exact make and model."

What is this, Facebook?
It says in the first paragraph that they're still looking for the bike...so some little scrote is hiding it. But it's probably a Sir-Ron!

If you look at the road, there are those kerb-and-bollard things that block cars but don't block bikes.

Large housing estates surrounding the area.
14 year old.
Motorbike.
Road that won't allow (police) vehicles to follow.
Sufficient speed to kill a child.

I know it's a lot of assumptions, but if it walks like a duck...

Indeed, difficult not to be drawn to those.

So the use of blue and black road bikes to run kids over is 'endemic' is it?
Have I at some point, unknowingly come to your house and rebored your missus or something? Or do you just treat everyone on the internet with scorn?

This should be a sticky at the top of every single topic in NP&E.

Not sure, but maybe we can find his EmailAddress if we look carefully.

Wasn't too long ago that half of the area was boarded up.

Very sad news frown

Unsurprising though when underage kids riding motorbikes on public roads is quite common.

I see from the news that the bike is being hidden from the police. I hope anyone involved in hampering the investigation gets charged with PCOJ.

Very sad news. Such a young age. Thoughts are with the family. You just go about your business then this happens. frown
