Why should an organisation that we are no longer a member of change the wording of a document so that it doesn't upset us? Arguably with Spain still in the EU then their nomenclature should have greater sway than ours.

And I say this as a firm believer in the FI status quo.

Another demonstration that the EU have never been, nor will they ever be, friends of ours.

Probably about time we offered our support to Morocco on Ceuta and Melilla then.

It was part of an agreement with CELAC, the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States, so arguably the wording is correct.

Because their view is more important than the Falkland islanders?

It wasn't an agreement with the Falklands. If it was, then their views and preferences would be taken on board. I have a huge love for the islands, a deep interest in their history and I am glad to have several islanders as friends. We have no sway with the organisations involved, why would they consider our feelings above theirs?

Haven't the Argentinians basically got the same planes they had back in 1982? I am sure a handful of Typhoons could sort them all out.

They have less. And no sealift capability for an amphibious invasion. The Second Stanley Boy Scouts Troop could hold them off for several hours.

The same Common Market that unanimously backed their fellow member with sanctions and an arms embargo in 1982?

What changed?
