Under investigation since January 2020, arrested in May 2022.
Still no charges.

Very similar happening in Scotland.

Only a deluded fool trusts politicians, I trust no politicians regardless of party.

Perhaps the Met should get it's bloody finger out. Being on police bail for so long is ridiculous.

It is. Not helpful to democracy to just leave it open.

What's that concept regarding innocence unless proven guilty?

It was insufficiently exciting for users of the internet.

He is innocent until proven guilty.

However the article raises some very legitimate points and concerns around safeguarding and whether his constituents should know both around the level of representation they're getting and the character and allegations around the person representing them.

Andrew Rosindell: Police drop rape investigation into Tory MP

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-68273...

The Met Police said a "thorough investigation" had been carried out and the evidence threshold for criminal prosecution had not been met.

Sorry for all who decided to jump on the bandwagon of bashing him.

Innocent until proven guilty.

However... (insinuates guilt without due process by association with allegations).

The definition of smoke/fire.

I don't see anything wrong with it.

Maybe you'd be fine with your daughter or wife being alone with someone accused of those sorts of offences because they're innocent until guilty.

But in most workplaces it isn't business as usual if there are safeguarding concerns.
