BBC said:
A poster for a West End play featuring a wedding cake was banned by Transport for London (TfL) because it was seen to promote "foods high in fat, salt and sugar".

The ad for Tony n' Tina's Wedding, a dinner show at Wonderville, Haymarket, featured a three-tier sponge cake.
BBC said:
TfL said it refused to run 20 adverts displaying foods and non alcoholic drinks that were high in fat, sugar or salt, in the year 2021/22.

Quite right too. Can’t have people gorging on wedding cake at the prices bakeries charge these days.

The cake should have identified as a salad.

Yet I can't move for papers showing pics of Lizzo and other shall we say not low BMI individuals shouting about how beautiful/sexy etc they are and how brave they are for wearing very little....

Probably now a much better ad campaign than the show would ever have been able to afford!

At least TFL are even handed. They have had to ban several of their own adverts.

"In 2019, I used a Freedom of Information request to ask TfL how many of its own adverts it had to edit to abide by its own daft regulations. The documents I received are mind-boggling"

How do they know what it was made of?

Also, I bet they’re happy to let PepsiCo and coke etc advertise…
