I was never much of a fan of her politics, but she always came across as genuine, passionate and doing it for the right reasons. Someone more interested in Scottish electoral politics will be able to tell me if her constituency majority was at risk, but I can imagine many aspects of being an MP are not a lot of fun.

And of course her maiden speech was a barnstormer.

Not surprised. She was bloody awful on a recent QT. Trying to stick the boot in on England/rUK at any opportunity, even when she was told that Scotland had been beaten on each appropriate metric by England/rUK. Came across like a stroppy student debater.

And with the (rumoured) arrests later this week of (possibly) some of the higher (ex) echelons of the SNP, maybe best to jump before being publicly outed and ousted.

Good riddance.

Sticking the boot into England is generally the job of an SNP MP.

Some might say the job of an SNP MP is to concentrate on delivering a successful society to the people of Scotland, as the SNP is the governing party up there.

But the chips on their shoulders won't vinegar themselves.

Given the rather distasteful campaign she was part of towards Dougie Alexander that led to her winning the seat, i've always felt she was just a try it on politician who has been not even attempting to phone it in for the last few years and with the talk of alcoholism and possible kit kat abuse, I'm amazed she wasn't delisted.

With regards to these rumours of possible people being ex important snp folks getting their collar felt this week, if this is chief mammy, thats a second arrest...which is quite the thing, or is it more random folk getting arrested then released without charge....
