The final, departing knee in the nads to the electorate courtesy of the departing clownish buffoon.

They are right up there on the leaderboard of 'least deserving of honours'.

One bullied her staff and the other mislead the late Queen when Johnson prorogued Parliament.

Remarkable.

I support these nominations as long as they either have an asterisk next to them, or sub title, so people remember who handed these insults out.

Perhaps 'lite' or 'st' or by law you have to flob a massive greener before you say them.

Johnson’s parting shot, to totally destroy the Tories.
Is he a Labour, or LD mole?

Don’t forget we have Sir Gavin Williamson, rewarded for posting up a photograph on social media showing himself sitting behind his desk with a whip and a little black book for company. The world must be looking on and collectively wondering what’s happened to the U.K.

Do my bidding and agree with me no matter how idiotic it seems, and you will be rewarded. Sounds like every career out there in the real world for people with no talent.

I think the rest of the world concluded the UK was a joke several years ago.

It kind of devalues the titles for those that have truly deserved them in previous years.

I might hand mine back

Well if Sir Keir can be Knighted after 5 years of being DPP, at the time when they failed to prosecute Jimmy Saville and permanently deleted all records about him, I don’t think it is a low.

If this sort of thing were happening in an African country people would be talking about how corrupt 'nations like that' are, and they would be right. Lets face it, all governments are borderline criminals no matter where you are but the UK has joined the list of countries with massively corrupt governments that don't try to hide it. Frankly I am embarrassed to be British.

This kind of hysterical, unbalanced post makes me laugh. "Massively corrupt government"? Don't be so ridiculous. If anything, the process culminating in the verdict from the Privileges Committee demonstrates quite the opposite.

Perhaps take a look at governance in South Africa lately, or Zimbabe, or Nigeria........those in charge go way beyond "borderline criminals". Or perhaps you think the way they conduct government in Pakistan is on the same level to the UK? Think Bashar al-Assad in Syria is no worse than Boris? rolleyes

I'm proud to be British even if you're not.

While the UK is not as corrupt as many countries, it does appear to be quite corrupt.

Massive amounts of taxpayer money funnelled into the hands of friends of Ministers and party donors. Access to Ministers sold to anyone with the money. Mis-managed Government Projects that go massively overbudget; with no fault or penalty on the private sector company that is doing the project.

A couple of Johnsons' best political pals being given pointless honours is the very tip of the iceberg.

Why are you proud? Your personal contribution to British history and culture is next to zero and most likely you being British is an accident of birth, rather than a conscious choice (even if you are a second gen immigrant I would bet a lot that your parent didn’t come here because of a love of warm beer, irreverent humour and bad food).

I bit like me saying when Djokovic wins the French open tomorrow that I am proud, just because I play tennis too!
