The more optimistic side of me says: "Good."

Clear out the rot before the next election, and these people get some power.

If Labour can implement a strong regieme that doesn't tolerate corruption or abuse, that can be seen to work, then it bodes well.

The more pessimistic side of me thinks that there is a lot of such rotten wood in Politics.

I feel the same, but good to see Labour taking appropriate action when concerns are raised.

....eventually. I think these allegations have been kicking around for a while haven't they? It's only because a Labour MP went public with her complaints last week that nothing was being done that this is being dealt with now?

Anyway, let's wait for the outcome of the investigation before we dig out the metaphorical scaffold.

Could well be. Guess you need a formal complaint for the suspension process to be triggered etc.
