So this story has been top news in Belfast over the past few days. A taxi driver for one of the main taxi companies pulls out a firearm on a guy who hasn't paid his drug debt. Seems the driver is also a UVF enforcer for a loyalist paramilitary group who make most of their cash from drug dealing and extortion rackets these days.

The video is from the drivers own dashcam, he's obviously been sacked. Arrested and now charged and due in court over the incident.

Is the guy in a back just a normal passenger? He mumbles something about not being happy but I didn't catch it.

These days?

I went to uni in the 90s (so pre gfa) with a chap from Northern Ireland.

He explained the paramilitary armies were basically organised crime, with a dash of politics thrown in to "legitimise" it.

Organised crime is everywhere of course (who else controls drugs, porn, protection rackets etc?) but in Northern Ireland, they were just more visible.

Yeah thats not a real DEagle. If it was the guy would be missing teeth.
Its also probably the most unlikely firearm to be used by someone like this.

He’s the debtors mate but also a friend of the taxi driver slash enforcer
