I personally think he probably died a couple of weeks ago when the private ambulance was seen outside his house.

Gives the family chance to bury him and get the funeral out of the way without it being turned into a circus.

I'm sad he was not what everyone thought he was and I'm sad that the person who entertained so many people was overshadowed by the darker side of his personality to the degree that he committed horrible crimes against individuals.

He was no Savile but he fell from grace in the same way but had to live with his punishment unlike Savile.

Seems unfair that such a vile monster gets to live to 93, but at the same time I'm glad he had a decade to suffer his disgrace.

I don't think anyone sane would think an RIP is appropriate. As an atheist, he's now just a pile of organic matter. Hopefully his last few years were as painful as possible.

Was mentioned that his family had said he had already been laid to rest, so I think you're right.

He was a big part of my childhood with Rolf's Cartoon Club and I mourned when he was found guilty of being a sex offender that he'd ruined those happy childhood memories.

I don't feel anything now.

Got to feel sorry for his family, they've done nothing to deserve the pain they've suffered over the past ten years as always in cases like this.

At least he had to pay for his crimes unlike Savile and Cyril Smith etc

It’s interesting that he returned to living with his wife post prison and that family and friends were present when he died. Why would anyone want to be close to a person who did what Harris did?

AIUI, he maintained his innocence until the end.

Presumably, they believed him.
