Bloody hell I woke up just as Breakfast were covering "something" that said it was in Cardiff but I didn't catch what it was.

It looked like there had been a gas explosion.

I watched a bit of once upon a time in Northern Ireland last night - scenes from Cardiff look depressingly similar.
What's with torching people's cars?

Some claim they were being chased, Police refuting that but Ely is as rough as a badgers arse.

Car almost certainly stolen or being driven dangerously.
Car has crash.
Driver and passenger dead
Family and friends gather
Get told to go away by emergency services
Situation escalates.

Police Commissioner interviewed on R4 saying it was a 2 vehicle crash involving a motorbike. Unfortunately 2 people died.
Looks like word got round very quickly that the Police were involved when they weren't.

Crowd gathered and basically attacked the Police who were attending the scene.

12 injured, one serious and various arrests.

Apparently the heroic crusaders for freedom and justice set a disabled woman’s car on fire and burnt it out. That will show the nasty policemen what’s what.

Academics have warned that the level of social unrest around the world may spike once the COVID-19 pandemic is over.

Saw one pic of a taxi all smashed up. Feel sorry for the poor sod who's probably self-employed and has now lost their income.

Total wkers.

Good link. And one of the reasons they suggest is the effect on the economy. (See also the wealth inequality thread.)

Reports elsewhere state that it was two teenagers on a E scooter/small bike that collided with a bus and that there was no prior Police involvement

Remains tbf of course

Yeah Ely is rough as aholes, there was a 3 night riot when I was a Kid over who could sell Bread on a certain street there. I suspect it'll happen again tonight.

Teenagers riding unregisteted bikes is a major problem, has been for a while. My Wife had to assist one who'd come off at speed with a serious head injury last summer. Of course, should any of these scrotes suffer the conseqences of their action, it's time to burn your neighbours cars and attack the police.

The weather was nice last night. I was sat in my garden having a bbq with friends into the evening. If the weather is nice tonight expect round 2. If it rains I’m sure they will worry about melting like sugar and not come out to protest and cause carnage.

I know I’m a male Karen for saying this. And I’m like a grumpy old man. But I hope the police are prepared and just crack down as hard as they want so the decent people in Ely (who must live in hell) can get on with their lives without being in fear. Smash the hell out of the little cretins. I know that isn’t right… but neither is having to live their due to poverty and being scared to walk your kids to school.

Can't see a thread for this other example of disorder. Wembley.

As a driver what would you actually do if confronted with behaviour like this driver of the white car at the pred crossing experienced, it's a while in 1:50 onwards.

Be tempting to just floor it , except then you'd really be in trouble.

While French riot police have some questionable tactics, at times this crowd and the Welsh lot need an effing good hammering, literally

News are saying false accusations of a police chase on social media .......it only takes 1 knob to start a rumour and the rest pile in
