I see our local LibDem candidate in the forthcoming local elections, has plumbed the depths of political shenanigans by posting on his fb page, this bunch of subversives!

Legal?

Nope, it said Labour for me. Not really surprising, as before Mark Fletcher (Tories) won the seat last time, Dennis Skinner had it solidly for 50 years.

Coercion?

I'm unsure this tactic works, and for me, has been the deciding factor not to vote for the local LibDem candidate, which I was considering before this was posted.

I detest the tactics of the left, if this is the new normal. Come up with alternative ideas, costed, both in local and national governance, and I'll consider backing you.

Is it unreasonable of me?

As opposed to the conservatives who sent out leaflets telling people they didn’t need ID to vote…

Political parties knock on your door they try to phone you and they put cards through you door saying "Vote for us" or whatever and you think a website that says "if you don't want the Conservatives to win in your area this is who statistically has the best chance of beating them" is coercion?

Seriously?

But you're OK with the tactics of the right?

Also how are defining coercion? I can't see any threat of violence at that link.

No not unreasonable, but the lightweights over on the liberal-left are basing their bid on 'not tory' which has been successful with Johnson i/c. Whether it's enough by Jan 2025 or whenever is another matter. It may well be.

Greens are fantastic (as in, fantasy) when it comes to costed proposals, there are Green leadership car crash interviews online if anyone needs a chortle. Labour spend the same money 2 or 3 times and hope nobody will notice because they didn't. There's more to play for now, with Labour's loser attacks on Sunak and now this. Own-foot-shooting must be in season. How myuch help do these muppets need?!

Tactics of the right? I like to think most people are educated enough to see the difference between right and wrong?

Can you?
