Thankfully his own kitchen was the only thing he blew up before the Police caught him.

Should have left him to try out his "musket" (home drilled aluminium "barrel") as he probably would have ended up this year's Darwin award winner......

Do you think Chris Morris will make a spoof about him and two of his mates, calling it Three Lions?

The jury were shown it being fired in controlled conditions by a forensic firearms expert witness. It fired, and did some serious damage to the ballistic gel the projectile hit.
But that was by ballistics experts - our wannabe terrorist had already blown up his own kitchen......

These type of stories seem to be getting more common in the UK.

There was a speech by the head of MI5 a while back where he said that right-wing terrorism is a growing and significant proportion of their workload.

Christ I used to have copies of the Anarchist’s Cookbook, poor man's James Bond, Jolly Roger's cookbook etc, plus a load of US military training documents. All shared around at LAN parties just for fun. Never got much beyond making homebrew napalm with petrol and polystyrene tho as it was quite obvious that the explosive section was highly dangerous.

Lost them when a hard drive broke but in hindsight, probably good not to have them these days!

Finally, I've found the PH "Are the left less tolerant?" thread.

Here it is:

I wonder what happened to it?

Let's hope they continue to blow themselves up then!

As “far-right extremist” is often used as a slur for someone who is opposed to globalisation, voted for Brexit, is opposed to wars, believes in free speech, a free press and is against forced vaccinations, I’m actually surprised that this clown really was a genuine ‘far-right extremist’.

He’ll have been placed in Winson Green / HMP Birmingham. I wonder how long it will be before he converts to Islam? hehe

Well there is that but a read of the article suggests this wasn't some poor harmless lad who out caught out messing around.

There's some truly grim stuff in there like the “God, I hate Muslims” group he was part of along with other racist rhetoric and the nice little tribute to neo-nazis and Hitler in his online username.

How the hell do people get into that st yikes

I don't think I ever had the cookbook saved anywhere, but my friends and I certainly went through a brief phase of trying to home make things that would go bang. Like you we never tried any of the scarier stuff, but we probably tried the napalm thing and DIY fire crackers with ground match heads, that sort of silliness.

Our aims were nothing more nefarious than 'oh neat, flames and loud noises', but it never really occurred to us that we might struggle to convince the police of that if someone reported us.

It sounds like this Dolphin specimen is probably best kept somewhere secure for a while though.
