Not sure many people are going to line up on the side of the Met commissioner any time soon.An example of how politicians are today… childish, insulting and pathetic

I cant imagine what it must have been like under labour for people to still think this is better.

Slightly different take on the exchange.

That's one way to look at it.I cant imagine what it must have been like under labour for people to still think this is better.
The other way is to make the logical assumption that they want a facist, authoritarian state (so long as you don't call it a facist or authoritarian, that's offensive!)

Well yes, I'd not expect the torygraph to do anything else. The video is there for all to see.
He's an utter embarrassment and seemingly has no shame or manners, the commissioner has hardly warmed his seat in office and he talks to him like that.
If that's the standard of discourse from the duty chairman of the Tories then we really are in more trouble than I thought and I thought we were screwed before.
I disapprove of Lee Anderson's manner in this exchange; it looks like he got rather annoyed with the Commissioner.
However, he had a point. Sir Mark Rowley appeared to be claiming that there was nothing he could do, and whilst Lee Anderson was rude, Rowley was condescending, in my opinion.
I note that this morning the Met issued a Section 12 order banishing JSO protesters to the pavement. So apparently they do have the power to stop these protests, don't they, Sir Mark? Quite why it took them until Thursday to realise this is unclear.

It's perfectly acceptable to dislike Anderson, and to criticise him. However, most of the dislike seems to come from Home Counties, IT types with fairy soft hands who couldn't be more removed from Anderson's life experiences. He's an ex miner who then spent 10 years working for Citizen's Advice and after that worked with homeless folks leaving the care system. I can't think of many other politicians who have life experience that matches that on either side of the house.
I quite enjoyed him eviscerating Rowley who is beyond useless, and his interactions with the bell weapon Bray are quite entertaining. There are far, far worse individuals in Westminster, yet being working class and having shunned the Labour Party seems to have put him in the sights of the middle classes.

Talk about selective writing. I quite enjoyed him eviscerating Rowley who is beyond useless, and his interactions with the bell weapon Bray are quite entertaining. In many ways, Anderson should be a total poster boy for the Tories - proper working class, miner, came from nothing, worked with homeless for a decade, single parent, was so broke he even sold his car at one point to look after his kids.
However he is clearly thick as fk with some mental viewpoints. In a strange way, he is the Tory version of Angela Rayner. I'm not entirely sure who I'd like to be stuck in a room with less, to be honest. I'd probably tolerate Angela over him.
