Another storey brought to you by the nation's favourite newspaper, the Daily Mail.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12006547/...

I wonder who did that then? scratchchin

Elephants in the graveyard, maybe? scratchchin

I've got a pretty good idea who would do such a thing and that it is a religiously motivated act, done by those who have a lot of form for doing this. I am, however, not going to say who I believe may be responsible, because I am quite obviously going to be wrong.

I will leave you to draw, and possibly voice, your own conclusions, some will know, while others will tiptoe through the tulips.

No one stayed there to see what was going on after day 2?
Odd. If my property was targeted on 3 consecutive nights, on night 3 they would be met with a baseball bat

OP, I genuinely have no idea who you think it so obviously was?

This is a very sad thing to happen. Which part of Croydon are you familiar with, since you seem to have an idea of who did it?

me too - I know most parts of Croydon well, and other than generic yobs, I can't think of a 'group' that would do such a senseless thing.

That's what I was thinking. Actual names and addresses or particular "types" of people? Surely if it's names and addresses the poster should call the police?

Who do you think did it Colin?

No need to talk in code.

Because I've read that several times and I have absolutely no idea.

This narrows it down a bit.. or not - my thoughts would be this is down to feral youths/yobs.

Having read some of Colin's earlier posts, combined with his reference to "religiously motivated" I'm going with his usual "Look!! MUSLIMS!!!!.

I have only ever heard of a group vandalising a grave yard when it was Jewish. This is a Catholic Church was it not and I have never heard of other religious groups doing that sort of thing.

So would have no idea why the OP (or you would suggest) the OP thinks muslins

I'm suggesting it based on reading some of Colin's previous posts. I agree that it would make no sense whatsoever but, then again, the same could be said for many of Colin's previous posts.

I'm more than happy to be corrected.

Is there a history of Muslims doing this sort of thing?

I'm not sure what anyone's getting at here really, hints at E Europeans and Muslims - but Muslims are not known for their love of Polish beer, and I doubt Poles would desecrate a graveyard! (Or that anyone with something against Poles or Christians in general would go around drinking polish beer).
So presumably it is "just" yobs. Not sure it's better or worse it being mindless destruction vs something for a "reason"

"Grave desecration in Croydon"

Sure John Peel had them on in about 1992.
