Isn’t the King’s wife usually called “the Queen “? I’m not sure what the big deal is…..
That's what I thought too. Randy Winkman said:

That's what I thought too. So he lied to his mother as well as his ex wife.
I suspect protocol will be emphasised to make sure she isn’t referred to as ”The Queen”.
Despite the disparity between The King’s partner = Queen, The Queen’s partner = something else, given that it’s the only way we are going to have anyone with the title for a long time, it makes sense.

I don't care, but hopefully the coronation will mean empty roads to go for a spin.
As for royalty or not, I'd rather have the rich toffee nosed impotent bds we have, rather than the rich corrupt politicians with power, we'd end up with instead
This is a position that the idealist Republican mob haven’t quite accepted, because it doesn’t fit their idealogical musings. The rest of us meanwhile are cynical realists and have long since accepted the same conclusion Olly reached - that they are all aholes! As for royalty or not, I'd rather have the rich toffee nosed impotent bds we have, rather than the rich corrupt politicians with power, we'd end up with instead
As such getting rid of a situation where we only have to worry about replacing one set of aholes for another set with a system where we have to replace two lots just isn’t going to appeal.
The nice thing about a Constitutional Monarchy is it’s a very public two fingers up to the politicians, that we don’t trust the buggers! I am happy to accept being “uncivilised” (according to the Republicans) as the price for Parliament knowing this.
