Peter Murrell
Nicola Sturgeons husband and until very recently SNP party chairman has been arrested on charges relating to £600 000 missing from SNP party finances.

BBC News - Sturgeon's husband arrested in SNP finance probe

This is likely to bring down the party from within.

It makes Trumps misdeeds seem tiny in comparison.

Indeed

All the comments on the rapist prisoner bringing her down, but this was far more likely to be the cause.

Curious timing for her resignation indeed. This has been on the cards for some time.

A couple of greedy pigs with their snouts so far in the cash trough they can't understand right from wrong.

Correction. He was party CEO, not Chairman. Significance being that he was responsible for day to day management of party HQ.

Only if you have zero understanding of the level of criminality and treachery to his country Trump has actually indulged in.

Honestly, what a pointless comparison though. Wrongdoing is wrongdoing. If found guilty, I hope everyone involved gets served justice.

Oh boy. Those of us who have endured the reign of the Chief Mammy and her shambolic administration have been waiting for this day for many years. While they both held elevated positions the media were stymied in their ability to report the (alleged) wrongdoings of these miscreants - now they are relieved of their positions of influence, the reporting impasse will be removed and the floodgates will open. Perhaps we might finally get a glimpse of the truth, and the downfall of the Murrells will be rapid and spectacular. It's been a very long time coming, and finally Teflon Nippy might be about to get her comeuppance.

Perhaps one day we might even officially know the truth about the alphabet people.

Rumour has it that it is only Scottish currency notes.

There is also the question of the 30k party members he has been holding hostage as well.

And whatever else Trump has done, mostly annoying political enemies, the point about policies and personalities remains. The police over there could and should arrest and charge Trump for other indictable offences if the evidence exists. What offences and what evidence? The secret documents at home thing is a bit tricky though, hasn't the serving President out-scored him on that issue? Go Biden. At the next election. The entertainment from Biden, falling over, isn't actually funny (age, health) and some entertainment goes a long way to offset the inevitable incompetence. Meanwhile, oh dear, SNP troubles, never mind.
