Here’s what you get with Labour. Genuine debate about the ULEZ at his Peoples Question time and Khan can’t cope with it. He brands anyone who objects far right!!

Tell that to plumbers, mums and dads, carers etc. if you want to object to his ridiculous ULEZ expansion you are far right according to Khan.

Welcome to the Labour Party

Typical. Can't cope with open debate, so sling insults and shut down debate.

He tried to paint the same picture about the huge swathe of people objecting to the ULEZ in the consultation phase. If you don't agree with him you are far right. .That's just normal people you imbecile.

Hello there. I recognize your handle from a Brexit thread, in which you are very keen to tell people who disagree with your position that they must accept democracy and the result of democratic votes. So why are you posting here complaining? Khan won a free and fair election and is implementing the mandate on which he was elected. Surely there is nothing more for you to say, and nothing to debate?

Hi, I recognise your personal angle as avoiding on-topic debate.

What I posted was completely on point. Khan couldn't cope with open debate, slung insults, closed down debate. As another PHer pointed out it happens on PH often via personal angles and attacks, what a coincidence

PH isn't Facebook or Twitter, approval seeking is present with a few metoos around but people have seen it all before in terms of Doing A Khan

Except he didn’t did he. This is the whole Brexit debate again isn’t it? People utterly twisting what has been said and faking outrage. Or are people denying that far right groups are involving themselves in this?

No issue that what you posted was on point. It was and I didn't say it wasn't. Just slightly surprised to not see you supporting the concept of respecting democratic votes. If people must accept the 2016 referendum as eternally binding, then there should be no debate about what the democratically elected Mayor of London does either. You really ought to be emploring fellow PH members to respect the result of democracy here, as well as there.

Where in Khan's manifesto did it say he was going to expand the ULEZ to all of Greater London?

That's doubly off point, unfortunately. Though it looks like we could be in violent agreement (!) on several points.

Has anyone said the democrarically elected Mayor shouldn't have the policy implemented? If so I missed it. It's his manner in the face of legitimate protest that's up for discussion.

Similarly, debate is fine, if ironic in context, and debate is what commentators are suggesting should not be dismissed / shut down, even on PH via failed personal angle diversions.

You criticize him for seeking to close down debate, whilst simultaneously doing the same yourself with regard to political policies you favour. Quite straightforward.
