Just hearing about this and a great shame, and i didnt realise it had being going since 1979!

It has an even longer history (back to the 1950s) if you follow the entire family tree of the airlines that formed and eventually merged to create Flybe.https://www.flybe.com/en

They nearly went bust before Covid, and were rescued by a consortium including Stobart Airlines and Virgin Atlantic. They staggered getting this sorted into Covid, where VA and Stobart naturally prioritised saving their mainline businesses and hence Flybe died very early on.surveyor said:

Yes but then went into admin again last year. Was resurrected by Thyme Opco who bought the brand from administrators. Was always going to struggle using a fleet of older inefficient planes.craig1912 said:
