OK,

Since 1971 I have always voted for the Conservative party, a Margaret Thatcher fan (Although she did have her faults), but I am now totally disillusioned with this shower of st who go from crisis to crisis,( I do have a certain amount of sympathy with them because they did have covid19 to deal with, which must have been a nightmare)...but now I have had enough. rage Liz Truss and that idiotic chancellor was the last straw.

Now I know Starmer is rather bland and doesn't seem to come up with any policies. just criticise the Tories all the time and I used to hate Angela Rayner but I am coming round to thinking she is OK, talks a lot of sense, even though she lets her mouth get carried away a bit, but time for a new broom?

Thoughts? scratchchin

I'm not great at current affairs but I believe they're no longer in post.

Rayner was on BBC Breakfast on Friday and I found myself agreeing with every single word she said.

Never voted Labour in my life and still don't know who I will vote for but this lot aren't fit to wear the shirt and need a period in opposition to realise that being in Government is a privilege not a right and treating the electorate with the contempt that they have has consequences.

I have voted for several parties in my life

Normally I look at the current situation and vote for the best/least bad.

Being originally from Liverpool have never voted Tory though.

I'm voting Labour just to get the current 13 year mistake out of power.

And then hopefully Labour can be forced to bring in a PR election system.

Just goes to show, we all ought to take serious care and pay attention to what the policies are, rather than voting through loyalty to a party.

I will be paying very close attention to what each manifesto says and will not dismiss any candidate until I have good reason to!

All well and good if they stuck to their manifesto's, but they don't.

True, but it beats just voting blue because you always have done!

Have we had the 40 new hospitals specifically promised by Bojo?

Have we even had five?

Which is why I vote on ethos and overall vision, rather than policy 'promises'.

Neither Labour nor Conservatives will ever introduce PR for General Elections. They both want majority governments and neither will ever get that with PR so they will stick with FPTP.

As I said in another post...Raymer, Lammy and Reeves etc al under the leadership of Starmer running the country...I mean, really?
No.
But I honestly don't know who to vote for any more.
I'll probably spoil the voting paper. I sends the message that I can be bothered to vote...but there is nobody worthy.

Would you rather drink pee or urine?

Unfortunately, when it comes to voting those are your choices.

Don't like Starmer but woukd argue he appears a safer pair of hands than any of the opposing team.

I will vote for whatever party is best placed to get rid of my current Tory incumbent as he’s pretty useless and they simply need to go.

Labour is best placed at the moment but we have had a Libdem mp before so I’ll be checking nearer the time and vote for the party most likely to oust the Tories in my constituency.

The Tories need to go away and think about what they’ve done and reset itself with some normals in charge and in key positions. We’re a long long away from that position at present.

Oh, and just for another disbelieving emoji, I'd rather Rayner was in charge of the Labour party. Starmer is an absolute nonentity

Life long Conservative voter but couldn’t bring myself to do it last time out because of that idiot Johnson. Couldn’t bring myself to vote Labour either so went for the Lib Dems. However, although the Cons got in comfortably last time they do have a different MP now who does seem to be getting out and about, making himself known and genuinely looking to get things done for his constituents. So on that basis I’ll probably be back to voting for him next time out.
