She states she ” hasn’t enough left in the tank “ to do the job properly. Is this the case or is there a back story?

She is tired apparently but also increasing unpopular at home as the costs of pandemic response become apparent.

Not enough in the bank more like.

And jumping before she's pushed, so she can dodge any election results being directly attributable.

Her performance during the pandemic, and what she's currently doing to farmers in NZ won't be forgotten hopefully.
Hateful political party. Hopefully they get someone a little less WEF, but I doubt it.

Excellent news for NZ. Sadly she will probably end up at the UN or the WHO to carry on with her crazy authoritarian ideas.

At last.

Utterly useless.

No vision, achieved nothing.

if you fall upwards your whole life, eventually you end up not being able to fall upwards anymore and get found out.

She was a megalomaniac in office, just utterly wretched. There could well be some scandal behind the scenes that has led to this announcement. NZ will be better off without her if they can secure proper governance again.

Absolutely. Ardern and Trudeau have got to be two of the most evil and vindictive Western Leaders of modern times, and that’s really saying something !

It’s pretty scary looking at the replies to U.K. news sites tweets about her leaving.

So many people claiming she’s so wonderful and we need her here.

The MSM showed their true colours during the pandemic. No surprise then they worship the likes of Trudeau and her.

They think we could have done the same as NZ. Shut the borders for 3 years, mandate jabs, and get pretty much zero deaths. But this "kind, caring" plan was thwarted by the nasty evil Tories

WOW, nice to see the usual anti vaccine/anti covid lot immediately jump in with both feet.

We've friends in NZ, she's very much seen in a positive light for keeping the country safe...but she has a young family

She's still the most popular political leader there, but rising prices etc have caused her popularity to fall.

Didn't she allegedly make an absolute packet from the job?

She's secured the bag and now there's nothing left to do.

As someone who suffered for her policies, 'effin good riddance. I'm surprised at how quick many NZ'rs have gone from love to hate in such a short time (an economy shot to pieces maybe). My daughter and son-in-law are in the process of shutting down their business in Auckland as it's not worth the hassle anymore, the main problem being Kiwis that don't want to do a proper days work.
