Astonished that after a couple of days, there still wasn't a thread on this.

The Telegraph are linking it to Colombian drug gangs - "A convicted member of the Colombian Cali drug cartel was the husband and father of two women whose memorial service was targeted by a drive-by gunman"https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-64286160

Kier thinks it's now a good time to look at shotgun controls - was one used here?
Heard on local news that some of the injuries were from being ‘peppered with shot’ which may indicate a shotgun cartridge being used. (Although I am in no way shape or form a firearms expert!).Lotobear said:

I said this would happen to my mrs.the other day as soon as I heard a shotgun was used. 'Cos the bloke doing the shooting must have a shotgun certiicate and been checked by a firearms officer and references received.

The service was to remember a 20 year old who’s been here for 3 years and who tragically died of leukaemia and her mum who died of a blood clot at Heathrow having flown in to see her.
300 odd people there, that’s a lot.

A couple of my wife's close work collegues (as were 20 or so other members of the local NHS hospital) were in attendance and were 2 persons standing away from the shooting. They are understandbly shaken, covered in blood and were confused as to what had happened - they were attending as they are friends with the sister of whom the funeral is for (the sister is an NHS professional too).

Well all those drug users, no doubt many on here who say “ well it’s only a bit of sniff once in a while on a Saturday night, so it’s a victimless crime”
There’s the result of your drug use.
We’ve probably all watched el chapo, narcos and so on: there’s no boundaries at all when it comes to getting justice in the cartels.

It's odd they didn't chose to use a Landrover rather than a hybrid Toyota then didn't set it alight immediately after.
The cartels don't just deal in drugs, they also own the other export industries so by your logic buying a Mango or Avocado from Mexico or Columbia leaves you just as liable for this event.

How many drink related deaths occurred over the weekend either due to violence, drink driving or liver failure? There’s the result of your drug use.

Well, that's you told, Austin. It's not the drugs - it's your prediliction for avocados that caused this. The cartels don't just deal in drugs, they also own the other export industries so by your logic buying a Mango or Avocado from Mexico or Columbia leaves you just as liable for this event.
You monster.
That’s me told. I’ve cancelled my um bongo subscription.
Of course millions die due to drink: accidents or declining health care. Nhs crisis? You can bet billions spent is down to drinkers.
However it’s legal. I’d legalise drugs personally. Then if some bouncing smack head wants to cannabis, coke or crack: it’s at a known rate and as has been proven, the crime aspect and impact on society is reduced
Won’t happen of course.
