It’s an utterly idiotic and despicable comment to make, but posted as a comment on facebook I cannot convince myself that it is a genuine incitement to commit a crime. I think were someone posting that message multiple times over a period of time, or once, but expanding on it in more depth, or at least attempting to make it look like a structured argument, I would probably be closer to the opinion that it was an incitement.

The second half of the article you linked is, though, deeply shocking. A German lorry driver kills a cyclist in Italy, realises what they’ve done, leaves the scene and drives back to Germany. The accident happened late November, the driver has still not been arrested.

I hate these spam threads. Cryptic title with just a link as the post. No, I'm not clicking it.

Mods - please delete this thread, cheers.

Do you expect the OP to copy/paste the entire article to save you one click through? How much information do you expect them to get in the thread title?

The title is only cryptic if you stubbornly go out of your way to not engage.

I wasn’t aware the Mods took instruction from random forum members.

Are you ok?

Rule 16 stops the OP from posting the content, so what do you want?

Do cycling forums have a car/driving section? And if so, is it posts by people who like it? Genuine question.

A two sentence summary would be helpful without breaching guidelines.

A second to the mods to delete this thread.

But while it's here glad to see Italian judge has more sense than po faced cyclists.

If it was a crime to make stupid comments the jails would be full of keyboard warriors.

I thought cyclists had enough to complain about with lenient sentences for drivers who caused actual injury to them rather than thought crimes.

No I am a 53 YO distance runner and struggling with injury I jump on my racing bike to tick over and the ones that ride and love cars don't say a lot but the absolute morons that are vocal are the ones that stand out and get noticed the most . So they would never have a good word to say about members on here despite the fact we are all different with an age range of 12 to 100

It’s hard to decipher this, but the first one that comes up for me on Google (cyclechat) has a motoring section…

Yeah, as an example singletrackworld has many different chats about cars at any one time be it technical or buying advice. Pistonheads has grown in the last twenty five years from a TVR owners club page to this, Those original TVR owners didn’t just talk about cars either…. The point is the vast majority of cyclists also drive so the overlap is only to be ex, especially given the technology angle.

How many pet, watch, football, DIY or literature forums have a car section? The less pistonheads remains a “petrolhead” site the better imho
