Carolyn grace killed in car crash

I watched a documentary in the 80’s about a mr grace who rebuilt a spitfire under supervision, I would have loved to meet him, unfortunately not to be he was killed in car crash.

His wife Carolyn kept the aeroplane flying and it is one of several two seat spitfires you can fly for the ultimate thrill. So much so I made up my mind to fly that aeroplane and hopefully meet mrs Grace.

Just noticed in papers she was killed in a car crash in Australia, where she was working as a sheep farm manager, very sad, condolences to their son and we may meet yet depending on my health and covid restrictions next time we travel down south.

Sad news indeed, I to recall the documentary film and thinking ‘what a woman’ no small feat keeping those Spitfires in the air. R.I.P.
