All I can say is; Blimey! That's some going.

What a waste.

Perhaps one for the Council thread?

Amazing that such planks exist. Gambling is well overdue what action I am sure is coming it’s way, online especially. Ruins peoples lives and makes billions for the guys running it.
Victims here are planks too though, imo.
One woman upset she’s lost her inheritance off her mum……but if it had not been a scam, she’d have spent it on crap from Flannels, ffs!

It never ceases to amaze me how eagerly people will send money to others who they don't even know, based on flimsy promises of discounted cheap tat.

Also. Harm caused by gambling.

Isn’t it fairly common for winners to burn through the cash? And also feel a bit relieved once they’ve done it?

164k is nothing

after watching trainwrecks piss 10s of millions up the wall on slots playing 1000$-1500$ a spin on two machines at a time (fast play, auto play), its easy to see how gambling addiction totally consumes some people

Sounds like this guy could have done with some help for his addiction which would have improved his life and those he messed up along the way.

Even worse are loot boxes and gatcha games. Since you cannot win any money or actual prizes they're not technically gambling so in most countries they're unregulated. I know of one person who's spent about £100,000 on a mobile game, literally for some jpegs that will vanish forever the moment the company terns the servers off.
