Sorry think ive slipped into a time warp, Sitting here with a blanket on to keep warm and a black out due to expensive electricity, A box of good christmas biscuits is a fiver and theres only about 10 in them, Roses and quality street rationed to 600g when they used to be 2kg, Expensive petrol, scared of winter coming and now no one can get any bloody eggs!

Progress eh?

It's OK though, we have more billionaires and millionaires than ever before, so the UK must be doing well.

The good news is though, if you're struggling on your 180k a year salary, (because you have 8 kids at private school and an Audi to finance) then you can just work twice as hard and earn twice as much, because you're smarter than the thicky low earners, right?

Am I doing this right? ;-)

I must admit I'm glad we have a woodburner (and a pretty much limitless supply of free firewood), plus a large array of solar panels.

I was a bit shocked yesterday when I popped to the shops for a few bits and pieces and it came to more than £50...

Well, who wouldn't be, sat here with one bar on the electric fire and 14 jumpers on after a hard day as a carer while some tax-avoiding fks off to Cancun for the winter?

Things is if nobody bought these ever smaller bags and boxes of sweets they would stop doing it, Toberlone changed their mind, so these people would too, it is your money and your choice, more fool you if you continue to buy this garbage. They will just continue to give you less and charge you more. It's all about YOU remember.

No.

No way you'll get 8 kids through a decent school on 180k per year 😁

I get that, the example in my post was hyperbole.

I see nothing to gloat over, just someone bhing about others having more.
I thought we were bhing about lots of people having less. Funny that you'd see it the other way.

Why are people scared to put the heating and eleccy on? Prices are capped. All that doom and gloom of £6000 a year isn’t going to happen… yet.
