Given their ages, I doubt they will get punishment deserving of the crimes and misery they inflicted.
Yes, looking at the ages and length of the prison sentences given many of these offenders will be out and more than likely stealing again by the time they're in their early 20's (if not before in some cases). It's an epidemic. this was just one gang, but clearly the risks or being caught and the consequent sentences are insufficient to provide society with any effective deterrent.
A colleague arrived at worth this morning and got a call from his mate/neighbour who'd had his RS3 stolen this morning, in Stafford.
I know two people in this area who, over the past 5-10 years have had multiple, serious attempted break ins for their cars (both RS6's) and another whose 2 week old RS4 was stolen. In case of the latter, only their CCTV catching the thief passing an hour before in a car police recognised got him caught.

97 cars stolen by this gang in one year? That's approximately one every four days, what the hell were they doing with them, just ragging them about or were they feeding a larger organised crime gang who were selling them on?
Should be locked up for the whole term but I imagine they'll be released after serving half?
Shocking, on every level...

A couple of chop shops locally were found and shut down. They had a menu of prices for various cars that were delivered to them.Should be locked up for the whole term but I imagine they'll be released after serving half?

Car crime has gone down significantly since they were closed down! Night and day!

So the drivers jumped in the back to confuse plod who was driving.
The video says all were charged with dangerous driving.
Is that a thing?
I'm sure I've seen on police interceptors etc suspects blaming each other and neither being charged.
And the one where the passengers claimed the driver had gone into a flat, but strangely the passenger has his house key on the ignition key fob....
However in this video posted, there was continuous footage I suppose which would mean that tactic wouldn't fly
