Would they? I am sure that kind of behaviour would have resulted in teachers stopping it very quickly and exclusions behind handed out.

There were racial slurs and generally misogynistic comments directed at them. Eton have excluded some boys for a few days. Nigel was as expected. Eton boys cheered his worst comments on migrants and covid. An interesting night but my daughter thought it explained a lot about why this country is in the state it is in. Their behaviour was awful. The school have had an assembly on it and issued an apology but damage done."

Exclusions? Yeah, not so much.

My business partner's son goes to a school where there's a kid merrily stting away in the bag, shoes and random other personel effects of another pupil. Nothing done.

It's awful.

The only upside is that it's a very fine line between that behavior being bullying, and it being the sort of behaviour that would get you bullied. The kid will learn soon enough.

Perhaps your business partner needs to find a better school. Given Eton’s standing we should be expecting the highest level of behaviour. The fact that doing this even crossed the minds of these children says a lot about the upbringing of some of them.

It has been my experience of school kids of every type, up north, midlands and down south throughout my 46yrs of blessed existence. And I’m not sorry.

It has been my experience of school kids of every type, up north, midlands and down south throughout my 46yrs of blessed existence. And I’m not sorry.

Sorry to hear that man, I've been in existence for 53 years and my experiences with young people have been overwhelmingly positive. I have worked in a school with a deprived catchment area for the last two and a half years after a late career change and many of our pupils are remarkable youngsters

That’s not judging people for the school they went to. That’s judging the school on the behaviour of the people who went there.
