Labour Government 202..
Discussion
As it appears the next election will have Labour required to form a Government, at some point within the next couple of years, I would ask the NPE collective, who they think will be in office, providing they get re-elected?
Is SKS nailed on to secure his seat and, if so, will he still be leader and in the hot seat to form a government?
Who else will be selected to high office, given there may be many comrades to choose from if my prediction of a Tory rout comes to fruition?
If all goes wrong for Labour and they don't achieve a majority (highly unlikely??) and the LibDems achieve the impossible of a second place, who would they insist on being selected for a top job?
Fascinating times, albeit stranger things have happened!

Rayner, whether he likes it or not. Sturgeon if it goes badly enough. The rest is up to him as the wind blows. This is the current shadow cabinet,

No Rebecca Long-Bailey or others from the momentum group? That may change....

Yet they could be forming the next Government to run the country quite soon! Plus others, yet to be determined?
:shrugs: Penny Mordaunt could conceivably be PM next week, which whichever ransoms she chooses as cabinet.pequod said:
Not worth considering or debating the probable outcome of a GE, sooner or later? My guess, FWIW, is a GE in '23, maybe Spring, after the Opposition force a vote of no confidence, whoever takes the reigns of the Tory horse!
More that Labour have been in opposition (FWIW) for over a decade, so there's no great surprise you've not heard of them. More concerning IMO is that a lot of the potential PMs in the previous contest are unknown. Even in this one PM is only really known because she was in the last contest a couple on months ago.Bill said:

SKS has been trying to move away from momentum types. https://labour.org.uk/people/shadow-cabinet/

I wonder if part of the reason he's been so quiet until late was so not to provide a platform for the more militant left to gain airtime, post corbyn.

Obviously, Labour are on full 'GE Demand!' and why not?
However, there are underlying factions which won't help their cause...
