I've worked with a lot of people whose experience never progressed beyond the first 2 weeks irrespective of how long they were in the job.
At least she will have an excuse for that

Well, the door is as wide open to a new party now than it has ever been.

Assuming they can get themselves organised properly (that is quite an assumption admittedly) if a new part comes along with:

1. we will stop the illegal immigration immediately and send back 90% of those illegals already here
2. we will ditch the ECHR and scrap all EU regulations immediately
3. we will sort out the shambolic NHS
4. we will scrap Net Zero until it is more realistic to consider it
5. we will start a massive programme to extracting our own, gas and coal so we are self-sufficient asap
6. we will ditch the woke / cancel culture and everything associated with it
7. we will pursue, with a zeal never seen before, those who defrauded the Covid support initiatives

I reckon they could generate a significant amount of support..........

I will be voting for any Political Party with the exception of the big three, soon to be the big two.

I would vote Monster Raving Loony Party if there was a local candidate....

As for which MP will jump first - William Wragg has apparently submitted a no confidence letter. Will there be a trickle over several weeks, or will it all happen in a torrent this week? I'm betting on a trickle as tory MPs are stting themselves that they'll lose their seats: a GE would surely have to be called before yet another tory PM is installed. The current farce is unsustainable whichever way you look at it.

Definitely live up to your name.

2. we will ditch the ECHR and scrap all EU regulations immediately

Do you have the faintest clue what that would mean? I assume now.

One of the biggest problems affecting British politics over the last decade has been this kind of fantasy nonsense, simplistic solutions supposed to fix complex problems. I'm not even really sure which of the UK's actual problems this is all intended to solve (other than "sorting out the NHS", whatever that means).

There has been a shocking lack of 'can do' mentality in this country for years. That needs to change. Any, or all, of the above are do-able if we have the will.

Don't worry about it though. Just you carry on voting Lib Dem - you'll be fine.

Well, let's test this theory that these are doable. Tell me how you'd do number 1, and how much it would cost. Don't forget you said immediately, but I'll be reasonable and you can have until Christmas.

I find it refreshing that someone can identify many of the current woes in the country - rather than just whingeing on about how difficult it is to get anything done.
Do you see any 'complex problems' that should be looked at afresh, or is everything on your 'too difficult' pile ?

What? You want my manifesto? For starters then, in no particular order.

Reduce the cost of housing relative to incomes by 50%, making that the BoE's priority, presumably through a combination of taxes, rent control, building affordable houses and whatever else it takes - reduce the cost of living, reduce poverty, improve health etc.
Shift more of the tax burden from income from work, to wealth and income from wealth - improving equality, strengthening the economy.
Invest massively in energy efficiency and renewable generation - reduces the cost of living and energy independence
Real living wage (although many of the above might actually reduce the need for it)

Doing anything about cancel culture when people will die from poverty this winter in the 6th richest country in the world is a bit of a way down my list of priorities, sorry.

3. Sell off the NHS

7. not a chance, the sort of people who would join any party that supports 1-6 are the pursuees, not the pursuers.

You could promise world peace, a million pounds and a solid gold race car for everyone, but anyone can see that’s just stupid. Several of those policies are utterly ridiculous.

Ah, that's fine then. Let's just twiddle our thumbs doing very little but whingeing about why things aren't happening.
