Everytime this guy steps out in front of a car he's taking a massive risk. He's been lucky so far but there's plenty of lunatics out there who wouldn't think twice of running him over or using a weapon carried in the door pocket.
Many drivers have been fined £000's and some banned.
So easy to find where he resides...too easy. ..

Good! The blokes an attention seeking moron!

He should be charged with wasting the Courts time.

First time I've seen a photo of him - pretty much what I expected.

Aye, I'm genuinely amazed he hasn't already been filled in several times over. He's a hazard himself and I'm also surprised he hasn't been sanctioned by plod for some kind of public order thing.

I think he's doing a great job. His father was killed by a drunk driver, and he says "I don't want any child to have to open the door and have a policeman say that their dad is dead". As such he hunts down and films people who are breaking the law - using a phone whilst driving, or in this case, avoiding a queue of traffic by driving down the wrong side of the road.

His methods may not suit everyone, but he's not filming people who aren't breaking the law. I do agree that he needs only to come across 1 loon before it's light out.

I admire his vigilante justice but his "trap" on that corner speaks of desperation.

Cool, record those breaking the law but don't camp out at a known hotshot to guarantee footage.

I think he is lucky to not have been a victim of a serious assault yet. By all means passively report dangerous driving, but getting actively involved in engaging with people is not his job and at this point I feel like he is doing it to get his next high.

For the record, I do think this was the wrong result from the jury. He did fall forward onto the bonnet very easily, but better then falling backwards and he didn't make the defendant drive with him still on the bonnet.

The guy with the bike wasn’t on trial. Your thread title is factually incorrect.

Cycling Mikey does seem to send in evidence to the police in the hope of getting a conviction. You’d have to say he was on the side of prosecuting authorities and hence it’s not that big a jump to say he lost.

I’ve not seen the footage to see if it is a surprising result. Is there a link in the bbc story?

Already a thread here.

Very strange to say that Mikey lost a court case. It wasn't his case.

The driver did plead guilty to driving offences.
