I don't usually pay much attention to the Nobel Peace prize thing, mainly because I think a lot of the previous awards have been a load of hairy bks....

But I was just watching today's presentation and thought it interesting that the awards are for a human rights organisation in Russia, a jailed activist in Belarus, and a civil liberties organisation in Ukraine...

As much as these are trying, there doesn't seem to be a st load of peace in that region right now, nor successful outcomes yet for these winners ("“done the most or best to advance fellowship among nations, the abolition or reduction of standing armies, and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses.”).

Loving the outcome focus. Something that normally goes by the wayside in here.......

And whilst I agree it's a bit "A+" for effort "F" for attainment; shining a light on those trying against pretty awful regimes "ought" to be recognised. I think it's the "promotion of peace" (against stty odds) being rewarded. And if you read some of the posts in here - it's "ALL Russians" etc are sts - that's probably NOT where we want to end up, longterm..
