Oh, and I'm far too important to be governed by the law.

Ha, just read this on the BBC.
Good!

"We accept that this a unique case because of the defendant's role in society and in particular in relation to the King's coronation," said Judith Way, chair of the magistrates.
"The hardship needs to be exceptional and although we find inconvenience may be caused, we don't find it exceptional hardship."

I agree, it may be inconvenient and irritating but getting a taxi or a train won’t be exceptional.

These type of people always think they're one above the rest. Imho, everyone ( no exceptions) are equal, no one is any better than anyone else.
Slightly off topic but we all arrive with nothing and we all leave here with nothing...

And a great sense of entitlement it seems.

He can afford a chauffeur.

It's a hardship perhaps to pay for one, and not have freedom to drive yourself, but it's not exceptional, and is suitible punishment for breaking the law consistently.

If he can't be trusted to stop for red lights or use his phone handsfree, not sure he should be trusted arranging the next knees-up.

If it had been a totting up of some marginal speeding tickets over a long period I could see some "reasoning" in trying to argue for a larger fine or a delay to a ban.
But 9 points from 2 previous speeding convictions, and a court appearance for another 6 point offence doesn't sound like it'd be a difficult decision to say a totting up ban is applicable.

Yeah, keep thinking that. You know the Royal Family have money, riches, castles and servants etc right?

Please tell me he drives a rusty old Volvo or Subaru estate held together with baler twine and with a pair of labradors in the back. And he wears red trousers at all times.
