If I were a politician I wouldn’t be jumping the queue to see the queen ‘s coffin.
A good few hours of positive PR for free but how many of them will actually queue? Stand in line; chat to the general public etc etc . . Top PR . .
I bet they don’t , them and us etc etc

Comments please !

Would a politician have posted this in General Gassing? biggrin

More seriously though, I’m not sure it would be the free PR you imagine it is, a huge amount of the population aren’t going to be paying much attention to the queues etc to be honest. Even if it gets a mention in the news it is likely to be drowned out by volume of coverage anyway for people paying some attention.

I’d hope my local politician was having a beer and curry instead. But that wouldn’t be allowed if they knew what was good for their career
This massive faux outpouring of grief and the nation shutting down is horrendous.

MP's had an hour or so to pay their respects before the doors were opened to the public. If they failed to do so then they should not be allowed to queue jump now.

Scottish Secretary Alister Jack and Defence Secretary Ben Wallace took a turn standing vigil

Both are members of the Royal Company of Archers.

He did but he’s still gunning for that knighthood :

December last year:

“England footballing legend David Beckham has been passed over for a knighthood on the latest New Year's Honours list - despite receiving an all-clear over financial issues which had threatened to ruin his chances of the honour.

The 46-year-old was one of a number of celebrities caught up in the Ingenious tax avoidance scheme in 2013, but has reportedly been moved to the official recommendations list after outstanding issues with HM Revenue and Customs were resolved.“

MPs is one thing, the four guests they can take is another. That really is taking the proverbial.
