I expect we'll see a lot more over the coming months, if it's people messing with the meters.

Four year old girl died in the explosion. Tragic. My sympathy goes out to the family.

Very sad.

Not sure they know the reason for this tragedy yet but I wouldn’t be at all surprised if gas leaks due to meter fraud become more common going into the winter.

Does it need to be due to fraud?
It could be a leaky pipe or leaving the cooker on.

This one last month Bedford

Doesn't seem like a lot of instances to me when there's like 20 million homes on gas.

This is a bad example unfortunately!
My first step on the mortgage ladder was in Redwood Grove, Bedford...these flats don't have mains gas supply........

I was just about to ask how many explosions due to gas cylinders eg caravans
Or it could be a leak from somewhere else

https://www.northwalespioneer.co.uk/news/20299646....

'A camping gas canister ignited in the caravan.'
