Met Police Placed in Special Measures
Discussion
This doesn't sound good but also doesn't seem entirely surprising based off perception of a series of recent events.
Met police placed in special measures after series of scandals

I'm all for stop and search, the rozzers should do more of it.
How many times have you been stopped, held up for half an hour, before being left to go on your way. Do you think if this was happening to you on a regular basis, you might not be so keen? TwigtheWonderkid said:
Well we have had conservative Home Secretaries, who ultimately are responsible for policing, for the last 12 years. So maybe some blame could be apportioned there.
For blokes strip-searching young girls, murdering women, that sort of thing? OK.(edited for typo)

Met have been rotten for years, there's been a gradual decline since the 2011 Riots, and ever since 101 was introduced, there are even less on the beat, more preferring the X3 or unmarked Peugeot 308 to tear about in. If you are a victim of crime like a burglary, you will get your crime reference for your insurance, but little else. I noticed they have quietly dropped their "Total Policing" strapline (perhaps in line with trades description act)
Some of the incidents that have happened have been shocking, I think with a different commissioner, Bojo wouldn't have gotten off so easy with a £50 fine (there are parking fines that cost more than this), whereas members of the public who had a party in Lockdown were fined £1k
