Nice old boy, Caen and the Falaise Gap were pretty awful, the British/Commonwealth forces faced some very strong well equipped forces there.

It’s sad to see the final passing of a generation and the events being “living memory”

My own father was a WW2 veteran who I lost in 2016 and would have been the same age as Harry

RIP Harry and grateful thanks for your service
