Delta Airlines ‘Shamed’ by Model
Discussion
Apparently…
Plus-size model shames Delta Air Lines after she was unable to fasten her seatbelt
Have to say I’m unconvinced by the emotional headline. Unless Delta Airlines is found to be installing excessively short seatbelts that is.

Delta provide seat belt extenders, so I'm not sure what all the fuss is, other than attention seeking. They also offer passengers the option of buying an additional seat for personal comfort, if they so desire.
To be honest that second seat shouldn’t be optional. Having sat next to land whales with their overflow pretty much crowding me out of my own seat it is a pretty uncomfortable experience for both of us.MrMan001 said:
She's not actually big enough to need a seatbelt extender, going from her other videos. The whole article is just a plug to get some views on her TikTok.
That’s what I thought. Sure she’s no size 10 but she isn’t a size 18/20 either.
If a size 16/18 cannot fit in a chair (when reality is most women are into this range in the UK) then clearly the offering from the airline is not acceptable.
Clearly it would be great if everyone was size 8-12 but that’s not real life.
I’m tall and my knees are always into the back of the chair in front. It’s a PITA. So when I had the ability I went B class instead or premium economy or paid for extra legroom. Problem solved.
Sadly business class seats in European travel are now no wider rather middle seat it left empty. Two bigger seats for comfort is required as we’re paying for it.

She is about a size 16, she should fit into that seat easily unless US airlines have tiny seats (never been on one!). I'd guess there's a bit of angle manipulation in the video to make the belt look like it doesn't fit.Clearly it would be great if everyone was size 8-12 but that’s not real life.
